So using the OceanWP theme for my Blog site is a really good decision as it is a highly functional theme and has more features available compared to its competitor theme, Astra. You will get more features and options in the theme panel, I am not promoting them nor they are paying me any bucks for these words.
Okay okay, I know I am going off the topic but this is the first blog post I am writing so I was just introducing you to the theme and its usefulness to me.
Now I am going to the guide, the reason you still stick here.
In the theme, I had disabled or deleted all widgets and their content from admin but still can’t manage to remove the footer wholly from my site. But later on, I came to know that that was not the case to hide or remove footer globally in WordPress site with OceanWP theme.
To remove or hide the footer section follow the below steps,
Step 1: Log in to the Admin panel and locate Appearance > Customize
WordPress customize page will load after clicking
Step 2: Now you will see lots of options on your left side for customizing the site layout to appearance. In all options Locate Footer Widgets and click on it
Step 3: Now you will see here the first check-box option called ENABLE FOOTER WIDGETS checked which causes the footer to show up on site, Uncheck box will hide the footer in the live preview.
Step 4: Now hit Publish button and your changes are live with no footer on site as below image or as you see on my site
